NSTeens

You may be wondering what NSTeens is and what this web site is about. This site was created as a partnership between Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and the NetSmartz Workshop®, an Internet safety resource from BGCA and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children®. Phew!

The NSTeens characters are based on real people and some very real predicaments. This web site and the NSTeens are here to help you, teens all over the world, to make safer online choices. The more informed you are about the latest issues and possible dangers facing you on the Internet every day, the smarter, happier, and safer you will be online.

You might even consider this web site and the NSTeens an empowerment tool. We know that you don't want to be lectured at and that's not what we're about. This web site is a place where you can watch short films of other teens' real-life stories and even share your experiences by submitting original writing, photos, music, and videos.

So you may be thinking, "How can I get involved?" Aside from submitting your creative expressions mentioned above, we thought it would be cool to start a web comic written entirely by teens, YOU, using the NSTeens characters, and empowering other teens to make safer online choices.
